This scheme was launched by our PM Narendra Modi on 22nd January 2015 for daughters Bright future. Under this scheme, parents open a savings bank account in the name of their loving daughter in any national bank or Post office. The money deposited by the parents in a savings account will use for her education and marriage. Parents can deposit a minimum of Rs. 250/- and maximum Rs. 1.5 lakhs. At the starting time, the interest rate on the saving money was 9.1% but now it has reduced, and now it is 8.6 % annually. The main motive to start this scheme to increase the girl population in the country and make a balanced sex ratio.
